Miiro is a human rights activist and specialises in community empowerment, mental health, advocacy, disability, and development. Previously, he worked with Handicap International (Uganda) and the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) as a Trainer/ facilitator and OPEN Job Support Officer. Miiro has also provided consultancy services to World Vision (Soroti, Bugiri, Busia and Tororo); Masaka District Union of Persons with Disabilities; Kawule Disabled Persons and their Families Association, Sense International – Uganda; Sign health Uganda.
Miiro is also the founder/ chairman, of Masaka Cycling Club, which promotes inclusive cycling as a sport among girls, boys, and youth with disabilities.
