Annie joined Able Child in 2023 as a Programmes Officer upon completion of a master’s degree in Governance, Development and Public Policy from the University of Sussex. With a background in pushing the agenda for access to justice for vulnerable groups in Malawi, Annie’s previous work has involved working at the interface of government, civil society, and international development organisations to develop and coordinate programmes for governance and inclusion in the justice sector. She has coordinated multiple projects with the European Union (EU), United Nations (UN), and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development office (FCDO) in Malawi which targeted the most vulnerable to access equal justice under law and reduce inequalities in the sector.
Annie has also worked in the United States Senate Foreign policy committee as part of an internship programme to enhance her knowledge and skills in bilateral relations and public policy framing. She is a Mandela Washington Fellow part of a community of young African leaders committed to innovation and positive impact in the world.
