About Alice

Alice has over 11 years of experience in the international development sector and is a technical expert in disability-inclusive programming and safeguarding. Alice joined Able Child in August 2016, having previously worked for Deaf Child Worldwide and organisations working with vulnerable children in both Eswatini and South Africa, including Manzini Youth Care and Whizzkids United (Africaid).

Alice has a BA in Sports Development, with this experience lending to Able Child’s use of sports and play in its programmes. Being deaf herself, Alice is extremely passionate about working with children with disabilities to break down the barriers they face and has over 9 years’ experience specifically working for disability-focused organisations. At Able Child, Alice has worked with our network members across East and Southern Africa, leading the programmes team to receive funding for and deliver several projects designed to support children with disabilities to thrive.
