About Richard

Richard joined Able Child Africa as a Programmes Officer in May 2017, having graduated from Manchester University in 2012 with a social science degree in Politics & International Relations.

Prior to joining Able Child Africa, Richard worked for International Service, a human rights charity seeking to empower marginalised groups including women, young people and people with disabilities. He has held several overseas roles in Burkina Faso, the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as managing a DFID youth development programme in Ghana, all with aspects of disability-related programming.

He is passionate about language learning, music and is a previous British Champion Latin American & Ballroom dancer.
