Able Child Africa hosted the Annual Gala 2023 on Wednesday 8 November at the Underglobe, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
We were able to come together with our network of supporters, donors and friends to celebrate our achievements in 2023 and raise crucial funds for our work.
A huge thank you again to everyone who contributed towards the Annual Gala 2023 and who made the event such a resounding success. From those who bought tickets, bid in the auction, entered the raffle, donated prizes, and pledged generously – thank you. Together, we raised over £100,000 in a record night for Able Child Africa.
We would like to give special thanks to our headline sponsors, Exile Group and Azad Ayub Ltd for their continued support over the last year and for making the event possible.
During the evening, we heard Juma’s story. Juma is a six year old boy who has intellectual and physical impairments due to having cerebral palsy. For Juma, communication has always been a challenge, and he was falling behind. Thanks to the support of Able Child Africa and our partner the Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi however, Juma is now enrolled in school and is receiving the support he needs to thrive.
But we want to continue to support more children like Juma. To do this, we need your help. There are many ways to keep supporting our work from becoming a regular giver to taking part in challenges and events.
