The Extraordinary Mile
16th June | Clapham Common | Free family fun!
On 16th June 2012, the International Day of the African Child, we will be launching our new annual flagship event, ‘The Extraordinary Mile’. The event will focus on raising awareness of disabled children’s rights in Africa and in the UK and encourage guests to join us in advocating for equal opportunities.
The day itself will be a fully accessible family fun day centred around a path which will take you on a journey through some extraordinary stories about the extraordinary people we have been working with. There will be face painting, balloon animals, African drumming workshops, and dance and drama activities! As well as food and drink available to buy.
We believe in going the extra mile for disabled children, please come and travel (walk, hop, skip, jump, wheel or cartwheel) that extraordinary mile with us and discover a bit more about the amazing people we work with.
Keep an eye on our Facebook and follow us on Twitter to keep on top of all the exciting details!
