Fundraising Ideas
There are a number of easy ways you can support AbleChildAfrica. Here are a few ideas:
Marathons and Challenges:
Marathons: Marathons and short distance runs, including the 2012 Virgin London Marathon, are a great way to fundraise for AbleChildAfrica.
Sign up for the Africa Cycle Challenge 2012: The dates for this incredible Cycle Challenge from Kenya to Tanzania have now been set. For more information and to sign up, click here.
Maximum Adventure: Get sponsorship whilst walking Hadrian’s Wall, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or completing the 3 Peaks Challenge. Click here for more information.
Fundraising Events You Can Organise:
Cake Sales, Dress Down Day at work or school, Bag Packing in your local supermarket, Auctions and Pub Quizzes are just a few ideas for fundraising events you could organise with your friends or colleagues. Download the AbleChildAfrica quiz.
Corporate:
Company charity of the year: Nominate AbleChildAfrica as your company charity of the year and raise awareness amongst your colleagues about the important work we are doing.
Leap CR: Sign up your company (quoting AbleChildAfrica) to Leap CR, the simple way to engage your colleagues in corporate social responsibility. Through their site you’ll be able to offer up your time and skills to AbleChildAfrica, and keep up-to-date with all of our events and volunteering opportunities.
Other Ideas:
e-car boot sale: sell old clothes, shoes, furniture and more on eBay and donate all the proceeds to AbleChildAfrica!
Collection Tins: Ask local restaurants and shops to put an AbleChildAfrica collection tin on their till (we will provide tins and leaflets). They can also support us by adding £1 to the bill for AbleChildAfrica.
Gift list: Make donations to AbleChildAfrica part of your wedding gift list.
GiveaCar: Do you own an old banger that is sat in the garage gathering dust? Why not send it to GiveaCar to sell for scrap and donate the proceeds to AbleChildAfrica? Click here for more information.
