Cycle Africa Challenge 2012
The dates for the AbleChildAfrica 2012 Cycle Challenge have now been confirmed and we are looking for participants to help raise funds to support our work, whilst taking part in a trip of a lifetime across East Africa!
AbleChildAfrica are supporting the vital work of our 5 key partners in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. We want to see a world in which all disabled children are able to achieve their full potential and fully participate in the world around them. In order to achieve this we need to raise at least another £100,000 to support the work of our partners this year.
From 23rd February to 2nd March 2012, a team of fundraising cyclists will take to their bicycles and ride from Nairobi, Kenya to Moshi, Tanzania. The route will start in Nairobi, take in Kenya’s world famous game parks, the stunning Tanzanian countryside and the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Importantly, we will include a visit to our partners to see the great work they are doing in the region.
Individuals who join the 2012 Cycle Challenge will be asked to make a minimum fundraising commitment of £3500, which will cover the costs detailed below and a donation to AbleChildAfrica. Of course if you want to pay these costs up front, then all of your fundraising income will go to benefit children and young people who are living with disabilities in Africa!
A minimum commitment of £3500 includes a donation to AbleChildAfrica and covers all trip essentials:
- International flights
- Pre-trip briefing by Action Challenge staff
- Action Challenge expedition leader
- Expedition medic
- English-speaking local guides
- Luggage Transfer
- All accommodation
